Firefly Farm is owned and operated by Dennis & Bonnie Hidalgo near Brighton, CO.  The farm is located on the high plains about 25 miles northeast of Denver.  We are just a 30 minute drive from the Denver International Airport. Our crops are horses, dogs and the quail it takes to train those dogs.  We currently own 11 Irish Setters (AKA Red Setters) 1 English Setter and 1 Pointer.  We offer at stud a Red Setter, RU CH Flintstone and a pointer, CH Full Force Buck.  As Amateurs, we train, hunt and compete with our dogs in American Field trials.  We normally raise a litter or two of Irish Setter pups each year and usually have pups and started dogs for sale.  All of our red dogs are FDSB registered; some of them are dual registered with AKC.

The largest part of our business at Firefly Farm is the development of attractive, cooperative and smooth gaited mounts for trail riders and field trialers.  Since we can’t keep them all, these handpicked horses are offered for sale on a regular basis.  We take great pride in matching the right horse to the right rider.  Repeat customers are the rule here, not the exception. Artistic talent comes naturally to Dennis, after years of creating and selling chain saw sculptures he has turned his focus to sculpting in bronze.  He has been commissioned to sculpt specific dogs to their owners' orders.  To date Dennis has created an Irish Setter male & female; two different Pointer males, a Vizsla female and a German Shorthaired Pointer male.  His current commision is a custom work in the image of the 2011 American Brittany Club National Amateur Shooting Dog Champion.  These bronze figures can be done in a typical bronze patina or the patina can be changed to reflect a dog's actual color and markings, thereby memorializing them to perfection.
