Founded in 2008, Strideaway is the not-for-profit online publication dedicated to and promoting the great American sport of pointing dog Field Trials.

Our objective is to present the voices and ideas of experienced trainers, handlers, breeders and other knowledgeable participants and enthusiasts whether they are involved with All-Age or Shooting Dogs, horseback or walking trials with particular emphasis on wild bird field trials and the dogs that compete in them. We present both written and podcast interviews, articles, stories and visuals on a regular basis and provide an expanding source of archived information relevant to bird dog field trials.

Since 2009, Strideaway has lent financial support to worthy field trial efforts. We published Bill Allen’s wonderful book of field trial recollections "The Unforgettables & Other Fables", available only through Strideaway via our Online Store along with Strideaway caps, decals, other select books and note cards!
