Montana Open Shooting Dog Championship

By Austin Turley | Sep 13, 2018

Circle, Mont. — Touch’s Diamante, six-year-old white and orange pointer male owned and handed by Austin Turley of Molt, Mont., prevailed in a field of 49 dogs to win the 2018 running of the Montana Open Shooting Dog Championship. Diamante had one find at time, a back and rendered a strong, well directed race to claim the title. Runner-up was Charitable Deed, four-year-old white and liver pointer female owned by Keith Finlayson of Tallahassee, Fla., and handled by Tommy Rice III. Deed was credited with one find near the half of her heat in a nicely directed ground effort.

Judges were Bill Owen of Santa Barbara, Cal., and Jarry Walton of Reno, Nev.
