Dexter, Kan. — The Wichita Bird Dog Club held its fall trial October 13-14 in Dexter, Kan., on the beautiful and spacious Radcliff Ranch.

We had a very nice entry and filled up two full days. Special thanks to judges Tony King of Thompson, Mo., Luke Topp of Crab Orchard, Neb., Tyler Buche of Burlingame, Kan., Don Kimble of Andover, Kan., and Frank Schoenborn of Wichita, Kan. Their decisions were well received.

Enough can’t be said about Paula Radcliff, our gracious landowner. She, along with Don Beauchamp, have all but turned the ranch over to the Wichita  Club for its trial and we are forever grateful.

As always, many thanks go to all the great help I lean to for many trials, dog wagon drivers Don Beauchamp and Bob Lais; bird planter Frank Schoenborn, trial marshal Bud Moore, and all meals thanks to Frank Schoenborn, Bob Lais, Chuck Maxson, and Jacob Starnes.

As many know, Bob and I were both on the mend and needed more help than usual. Thanks to you all. Thanks again to club member Don Navarro for donating his portable toilet.

We have a wonderful sponsor in Nutri Source donating food for all winners and help with our advertisement.

The weather was nice on Saturday, but Sunday brought a cold rain shrinking the gallery quite a bit.

Thanks to all who rode and walked in the rain. Once again, the quail population looks like it’s continuing to improve.

Lastly thanks to all who entered dogs.
