Field Trial Report

Hoffman Amateur Field Trial Club

By Debbie Bonner | Jan 29, 2019

Hoffman, N. C. — The Hoffman Amateur Field Trial was held December 7-9 at the Robert Gordon Field Trial Grounds in Hoffman, N. C. The club was under new leadership this year and was well received by all participants. We would like to thank everyone for their participation and support.

We are especially grateful to club members Randy and Marcia Bradshaw for all their hard work in preparation for this trial. Marcia was responsible for some excellent meals as well. New club members Scott Griffin and Chad Adams are appreciated for their generous support. A big thanks to Debbie Bonner for her delicious cakes and stews on a cold Saturday for lunch.

Randy Bradshaw pulled double duty as club member and judge. Phil Moser of Mocksville, N. C., lent his service to fill the other judicial saddle. Both men are well experienced and we thank them for their time and attention to each entry.

Placed first in this year’s Amateur Shooting Dog Stake was Brown’s Ale, pointer male owned and handled by Andrew Brown. Awarded second was Upper Ten Riley, pointer male owned and handled by John Adsit. Third was Come Back Lady Soul, Irish setter female owned and handled by Joe Edwards.

Winning the Amateur All-Age Stake was pointer female Desiree, owned by Hunter Wilcox and John Tomaski and handled by Hunter Wilcox. Second was pointer male Miller’s Creative Cause, owned and handled by Tommy Liesfeld. Third was Bonner’s Excalibur, pointer male owned and handled by Derek Bonner.

Thanks to Purina for their generosity and to everyone for their support and encouragement.
