American Brittany Club Pheasant Championship

Valentine, Neb. — For the third year, the Harms Cattle Company graciously hosted the American Brittany Club’s Pheasant Championship. South of Valentine, Neb., this beautiful venue has over 26 miles of wild bird country coursing through lush meadows and scenic sandhills.

Jason Babbel of Dunbar, Neb., and Charlie Collier of Corsicana, Tex., looked over the field of 69 entries. Maxwell’s Prickly Pete, five-year-old white and orange Brittany male was named champion for trainer Tom Tracy, Jr. Pete is owned by Bo and Renae Ackerman of Gainesville, Ga. Runner-up went to Rammer Jammer Jax, also a five-year-old white and orange Brittany male owned by Trey Baer of North Richland Hills, Tex. Jax was handled by Texas trainer Ben Kuykendall.
