Atlantic Coast Open Shooting Dog Championship

Hoffman, N. C. — Fifty-five dogs, 41 pointers and 14 setters, were drawn in the 2018 renewal of the Atlantic Coast Open Shooting Dog Championship at Hoffman, N. C.

Judges Chad Adams of Goldsboro, N. C., and John Milton of Jacksonville, Fla., named Sugarknoll War Paint the winner. The eight-year-old white and orange pointer male is owned by Peter and Chris Del Collo of Pamplin, Va., and Allen R. Linder of Livingston, Tenn., and was handled by Mike Tracy. Named the runner-up was In Swami’s Shadow, five-year-old white and orange pointer female owned by Bill and Mary Sand of Sarasota, Fla., and handled by Shawn Kinkelaar.

The companion Open Derby had a field of 23 pointers and 5 setters. Touch’s Reid Rocketman, pointer male owned by John Roswech of Chester, N. J., and handled by Shawn Kinkelaar, was first. Second was Low Country Snow, pointer female owned by Steve and Cathy Ferrell of Clover. S. C., and handled by Trey Littlejohn. Third was L F Dialing Samantha, pointer female owned by Tom J. Liesfeld of Waynesboro, Ga., and handled by Doug Ray.
