Carroll County Open Trials

Huntingdon, Tenn. — The one-hour Lynn Taylor Open All-Age Classic (29 entries) was won by Whippoorwill Justified, white and liver pointer male owned by Ronnie Spears of  Jacksonville, Ark., and handled by Larry Huffman. Earning second was white and liver pointer male Dominator’s Rebel Heir, owned by James Hamilton, Jr., of Atlanta, Ga., and handled by Jamie Daniels. Third was Miller’s Bushwacker, white and orange pointer male owned by Benjy Griffith of Leesburg, Ga., and handled by Jamie Daniels.

Quite a few birds were moved during the Open All-Age with at least a half dozen dogs doing a good job.

The judges were as advertised, Jonathan Burch of Holly Springs, Miss., and Jon Lam of Makanda, Ill.

Due to bad weather the Open Derby was cancelled.
