Central Carolina Field trial Club

Hoffman, N. C. — The Central Carolina Club drew 23 all-age for the Bill Andrews Open All-Age. Twenty-eight Derbies were also drawn for the companion Purina points and Invitational Derby Championship.

Judges for the All-Age Stake were Larry Smith of Pleasant Hill, Ia., and Ray Wheeler of Shelby, Ohio. The winner was Dunn’s Tried’N True, pointer male owned by Will  and Rita Dunn of Lebanon, Ky. Second place went to Miller’s Dialing In, owned by Sean and Deb Hauser of Manchester, Ia. Named to the third spot was Dunn’s True Issue, owned by Claudia McNamee of Atlanta, Ga. All three of the winners were handled by Luke Eisenhart.

The companion Open Derby preceded the All-Age. Judges were Ruthann Epp of Marion Junction, Ala.,  and Gary Miller of Jackson Springs, N. C. The winner was Dunn’s True Reign with Luke Eisenhart as handler and owned by Will Dunn. Second place went to Marques Lucky Lady, pointer female handled by Lefty Henry for owner John Ivester of Huntersville, N. C. Third was awarded to Hendrix’s Copperline, pointer male handled by Tommy Davis for owners Guy and Burke Hendrix of Hernando, Miss. Birds were plentiful throughout the running.
