Continental Field Trial Club

By Steve Standley | Apr 12, 2018

Greenville, Ga. — Omissions in 2018 Continental field trial report. Each year the Continental Field Trial Club puts a number of water tanks over the courses at Dixie Plantation. Each tank has a freshly painted sign on the side that offers the opportunity to honor a person, a favorite dog or a participating company. These signs provide important fund-raising for the Continental FTC. One of the valued sponsors, Dr. Ron Deal, sponsored a tank in memory of Champion Flush’s Wrangler (winner of the 1981 Continental title). This writer failed to acknowledge Dr. Deal in the write-up. Also not mentioned was longtime Continental Club board member Bart Goodson who takes a week off from work each year to help at this important trial. He loaned horses to judges, led horses in and helped in numerous ways. This writer regrets these omissions.
