Erin's War Creek

Glenville, Pa. — Erin’s War Creek passed away peacefully on his handler’s lap December 9, 2019, after suffering a stroke.

Erin’s War Creek began his lustrous career winning the 74th Ontario Open Shooting Dog Championship in 2012, followed by his first of three National Pheasant Shooting Dog Championships (2012, 2015 and 2017).

His next greatest achievement was winning the 55th National Open Shooting Dog Championship in 2015 at Sedgefields Plantation in Union Springs, Ala.

Erin’s War Creek went on to win eleven open shooting dog championships, eight runners-up open shooting dog championships against the best in the country. He also won several amateur shooting dog championships and classics under his owner and handler Allen Linder of Livingston, Tenn., and scout Madison McDonald.

Erin’s War Creek had several comebacks from injuries. In 2012 he had throat surgery that resulted from a seed; he was unable to compete for nine months; eye surgery during the National Shooting Dog Championship that did not stop him from putting on a memorable performance.

His heart and desire to win was stronger than any complications from injury.

We were fortunate to have Erin’s War Creek in our string of great dogs.

War Creek was bred by Sean Derrig from a litter whelped March 10, 2008. Sean and Luke Eisenhart are credited with Erin’s War Creek’s early development.

Erin’s War Creek will be missed. Rest in peace good friend.
