Fifty-Sixth United States Quail Shooting Dog Futurity

Hoffman, N. C. — Fifty-five entries competed January 27-30 in the 56th renewal of the United States Shooting Dog Futurity at the Robert Gordon Field Trial Area on the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Sandlands in Hoffman, N. C.

Emerging victorious was I’m A Southern Natural, white and orange setter female bred by Donald Terrell of Ararat, N. C., owned by Nida and Sam Giddens of Faison, N. C., and handled by Sam Giddens. Second was Bronco Bully, white and liver pointer male bred by Dennis Hood and Tom Walker of Valley, Ala., owned by the Muriel and William Primm of Cream Ridge, N. J., and Ernie and Karen Saniga of Nottingham, Pa., and handled by Mike Tracy. Third was Chelsea’s Mae West, white and orange pointer female bred by Chelsea Plantation and Brad Sadler, Ridgeland, S. C., owned by Brad Sadler and handled by Shawn Kinkelaar. Fourth was Steel City Avenger, white and orange pointer male bred by Jeanette Tracy, owned by Karen and Bob Reed of Gettysburg, Pa., and handled by Jeanette Tracy.

Judges were Bobby Phillips of Jonesborough, Tenn., and Mark Hughes of Grampian, Pa.
