Georgia Championships

Waynesboro, Ga. — Each season, the Georgia Open Championships mark the start of the New Year at Waynesboro, Ga., and were successfully completed

Derby Championship was won by Haney’s Storm Warning, white and liver pointer male, owned by Chris Cagle of Woodlawn, Tenn., and handled by Ike Todd. Runner-up was Erin’s Perfect Storm, white and orange pointer male, owned by Brad Woodie of Waxhaw, N. C., and handled by Luke Eisenhart.

In the Georgia Quail Championship, the winner was Lester's Storm Surge, white and orange four-year-old pointer male, owned by Tommy and Bonnie Hamilton of Springfield, Ky., and handled by Gary Lester. Runner-up was Sand Wood Creek, five-year-old white and liver pointer female owned by Audie Brown of Kingstree, S. C., and handled by Jerry Raynor.

The Derby Championship drew 52 entries for Judges Jim Davis of Pavo, Ga., and Mike Jackson of Battle Ground, Ind.

A field of 31competed in the All-Age for Judges Jim Davis and Whitley Stephenson of Smithfield, N. C.
