Georgia Open Championship

Waynesboro, Ga. — Two pointer males took top honors from an entry of 53 contenders in the recently concluded Georgia Open Championship. Miller’s Speed Dial was named champion for Kentucky owner-handler Gary Lester. The five-year-old white and orange pointer male Speed Dial ran a top all-age race from breakaway until pickup. All in order finds were carded at 28, 44, 52 and 58.

Strut Nation. white and orange pointer male coming seven years of age, was named runner-up for owner-handler Scott Jordan of Grant, Minn. All in order finds with good style were recorded at 5,13, and 48, finishing the hour to the front.

Johnny Atkinson and Ray Joye were in the saddles at the beginning of the trial. Due to a death in Johnny’s family, he had to leave at the end of brace No. 12. Jack Kimbrell stepped in to judge and Bill Adams stepped in to report.
