Georgia Open Shooting Dog Championship

Waynesboro, Ga. — The Georgia shooting dog program has followed on the heels of the all-age portion at Di-Lane Plantation, Waynesboro, Ga. The Georgia Derby Classic has 27 dogs, and the Georgia Open Shooting Dog Championship has drawn 57 contenders.

Advertised Judge Harold Johnson of Shorter, Ala., had to bow out when he suffered a heart  attack and subsequently underwent surgery. Hall-of-Famer John Ray Kimbrell of Fort Mill, S. C., here serving has chairperson, has stepped in and joined Mike Jackson of Battle Ground, Ind., in the judicial saddles.
