Indiantown Gap Trials

Petersburg, Pa. — Three stakes were held in the Gap trials April 7-13 at the club grounds near Petersburg, Pa.

Winners in the Keystone Open Shooting Dog Classic were: Waybetter Rocky first, pointer male handled by Mike Tracy for Bill and Muriel Primm and Carl and Collin Bishop; second, Shadow Oak Doc, setter male owned by Allen Linder and Great River Kennels, handled by George Tracy; third, Jacob and Mike Reeves’ setter Pine Straw Black Hawk, with Jeanette Tracy handling. There were 42 dogs in the stake judged by Gary Futch of Statesboro, Ga., and Ralph Gillotta of Medina, Ohio.

The Indiantown Gap Derby Classic was won by David Steele’s pointer male Walden’s Keen Ice, handled by Mike Tracy, who also handled the second place winner, Cliff Mesnard’s Double M’s Deliverance. Allen Linder’s Miller’s Handsome Ransom was third with George Tracy handling.

The Keystone Amateur Classic winners were pointers Barcelona Bull and Jubullee, first and third, respectively, handled by this reporter. Second went to Roger Boser’s red setter Waycross.

The latter two stakes were judged by Gary Futch and Steven Boyer of Grantham, Pa.
