Kentucky Lake Open Stakes

Blue Mtn., Miss. — The 2019 Kentucky Lake stakes were concluded at the Hell Creek WMA, Blue Mountain, Miss.  Winning the Open All-Age was Lester’s Shockwave, two-year-old white and orange ticked pointer male handled by Mark Haynes for owner Gary Lester of Gracey, Ky. Second was Whippoorwill Wild Assault, eight-year-old white and orange pointer male handled by Larry Huffman for owners Jim and Stephanie Bickers of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. Named to third was Hendrix’s Copperline, two-year-old white and orange ticked pointer male handled by Burke Hendrix and owned by Burke and his father Guy of Hernando, Miss.

Twenty-two (22) dogs were drawn for Judges Greg Bain of Town Creek, Ala., and Brian Peterson of Cecil, Ala.

The Kentucky Lake Open Derby (one-hour heats) drew thirteen (13) entries. First was County Line Pat, handled by Ike Todd, and owned by Joe Don House of Clinton, Ky., and Dan Hendrickson of Abilene, Tex. Second was Bonner’s Bulletproof, white and orange ticked pointer male owned by Derek Bonner of Mooresboro, N. C., and handled by Mark Haynes. Rester’s Cajun Charlie was third. The white ad orange pointer male is owned and handled by Cecil Rester of Angie, La. Greg Bain and Brian Peterson presided.
