New Freedom, Pa. — The sad news that Mary Lou Elizabeth Boser, 80, of Seven Valleys, Pa., died on Monday, October 11, after a long battle with cancer reached the American Field on October 13.

Mary Lou was well known in the field trial community, first as the loving wife of Dr. Roger W. Boser, and as his frequent companion to field trials and other activities related to the bird dog pastime.

Mary Lou was born in Minneapolis, Minn., on September 30, 1941 to the late Samuel and Gertrude (Fromm) Kamrow.

Marty Lou and Roger enjoyed 56 years of marriage. She very much enjoyed activities in the homemakers club and made many friendships wherever she went. She traveled extensively with her husband Roger who competed successfully with the Red setters that he and Mary bred and developed.

She was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Freedom, Pa.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband Roger; two sons, Steven Boser and his wife Melissa of Lakeland, Fla., and Jon Boser of New Freedom, and three grandchildren, William, Nathan and Natalie. She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald Kamrow.

A funeral liturgy will be held Monday, October 18,  at 11:00 a.m. from St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in New Freedom, Pa. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.

May she rest in peace.
