LaVergne, Tenn. — The McMinnville Club’s spring trial date happened to fall on Easter weekend so club officials decided to run the trial on Friday and Saturday so participants could celebrate Easter Sunday with their families.

As always, field trial weather — rain — came on Friday, but it was sunny on Saturday.

Well respected judges were Mary Schalk of Dixon, Ky., and Stan Noble of Santa Fe, Tenn.

Dog work was good both days for the Amateur Derby and Shooting Dog.

A special shout-out to Harry Layne; as always job well done with the dog wagon!

Everyone enjoyed chili and peach cobbler served by the club.

We thank all who participated and hope to see everyone back next year.

LaVergne, Tenn., March 30

Judges: Stan Noble and Mary Sue Schalk
