National Amateur Shooting Dog and Amateur Derby Championships

Conway, Ark. — The National Amateur Shooting Dog Derby and Amateur Shooting Dog Championships were held at the Camp Robinson WMA near Conway, Ark.

Dr. Buck Neil of Fort Worth, Tex., and Gary Young of Lawton, Okla., judged both stakes. The Derby Championship drew fourteen entries and the Shooting Dog, 42.

Winner of the Derby Championship was Rebel Survivor, white and orange pointer male owned by David Williams of Beech Bluff, Tenn. Runner-up was Erin’s Ty Breaker, white and liver  pointer male owned by Ted Roach of Fort Wayne, Ind.

Tangled Sheets, six-year-old white and liver pointer female owned by Johnny and Rita Ornsby of Greenbrier, Ark., won the Shooting Dog Championship. Runner-up was Hale’s Kickstarter, white and black pointer male coming six, owned by Dr. Jeff Hale of Russellville, Ark.
