National Open Shooting Dog Championship

Union Springs, Ala. — The National Open Shooting Dog Championship drew 69 dogs for the 2019 renewal which is dedicated to the late Dr. Jerry Champion.

Running began Monday, February 4, with Dr. Jim Mills of Searcy, Ark.,  Mike Jackson of Battle Ground, Ind.,  and Ray Wheeler of Shelby, Ohio judging. Advertised reporter Mike Husenits was unable to attend due to health issues. Board members Perry Hicks and Heather Klinck will make a joint effort to properly cover the trial and associated events.

Barring any weather delays, the Championship should be completed on February 12.
