National Pheasant Shooting Dog Championship

Circle, Mont. — The National Amateur Pheasant Shooting Dog Championship at Circle, Mont., was concluded with the naming of the winners. Securing the 2019 title was Upfront’s Southern Star, four-year-old white and liver pointer female owned and handled by Lance Schulz of Bismarck, N. D. Runner-up was Emmalita, three-year-old white and liver pointer female owned and handled by Austin Turley of Molt, Mont.

The judges were Alex Mauck of Sandy, Ore., and Eric Mauck of Boring, Ore. Forty-one dogs were drawn; four scratches reduced the starting field to 37.
