National Prairie Chicken Shooting Dog Championship

Bancroft, Wis. — The National Prairie Chicken Shooting Dog Championship was held September 25 in Bancroft, Wis. From a field of 47 dogs, Boumeester’s Bar None, three-year-old white and liver pointer male owned and handled by Rich Boumeester of Jordan, Minn., was named champion. Runner-up was Conecuh’s Shoe Shine, six-year-old white and black pointer male owned by Tony and Becky Gibson of Union Springs, Ala., and handled by Doug Ray.

Judges were William Smith of Moscow, Tenn., and Chris Rider of Smithfield, Pa.
