NGSPA Region 1 Championships

East Windsor, Conn. — The NGSPA Region 1 Championships were held in mid-November at the Flaherty Area in East Windsor, Conn. Thirty-six German Shorthaired pointers were drawn for the three stakes.

The Amateur Shooting Dog Championship winner was Orlando’s Oscar von Greif, owned and handled by Dr. William Orlando of Massena, N. Y.  Runner-up was Tulli’s Shot To the Heart, owned and handled by Joe Amatulli of New Hartford, Conn.

Open Shooting Dog Championship, the winner was Hi N’s Hasty Matilda, owned and handled by Hank Lewis of Louisville, Ohio. Runner-up was Jackson Brown, owned by Lee Wagoner of Union City, Mich., and handled by Dan DiMambro.

The Derby Classic was won by Tonto, handled by Toby Tobiassen.  Second was Leroy, handled by Dennis Hazel. Third was Kira, owned and handled by Allen Welch.

We had every variety of weather that the Northeast can dish out.
