Oklahoma Open Championship

Inola, Okla. — The Oklahoma Open Championship was run on the McFarlin-Ingersoll and Gene Stout Ranches in Inola, Okla. The running began  Wednesday afternoon, October 31, and was completed Friday afternoon, November 2. Thursday morning’s running was cancelled due to bad weather.

Topping a field of 29 entries was Valiant, five-year-old white and liver pointer male owned by Jay McKenzie of Eureka, Kan., and handled by Randy Anderson. Miss Stylin Sue, two-year-old white and liver pointer female owned by Dr. Jim Mills and Steve Lightle of Searcy, Ark., and handled by Allen Vincent, was named runner-up.

The judges were Dan Wisely of Powderly, Tex., and Brooks Carmichael of Virginia, Neb.
