Ontario Grouse Dog Championship

Marienville, Pa. — The Ontario Grouse Dog Championship held forth at the Allegheny National Forest courses in Marienville, Pa., attracting a formidable field of 54 dogs — 29 pointers and 26 setters. The winner emerged in Wynot Atom, six-year-old white and black pointer male owned by Allen L. Robbins of Winterport, Me., and handled by John Stolgitis. Atom scored on one grouse find.

Runner-up was Miss Penn Star, seven-year-old white and black setter female owned by Dr. George Najor of Smithfield,  Mich., and handled by Robert Ecker. Miss had one piece of bird work.

Judges were Chris Catanzarite of Scenery Hill, Pa., and Pedrag Kazic of Greenlawn, N. Y.
