The “first lady of field trials” in Georgia, Nell Mobley, called from Waynesboro, home of the Georgia Open Quail Championships (Derby and All-Age) and the Georgia Open Derby Classic and Shooting Dog Championship. First words: “I can’t believe the season has started.”

It has indeed and winners of four of the prairie stakes — three in Canada and one in South Dakota — have formally been reported and points credited to them for the 2018-2019 Purina Top Dog Award.
