Quail Championship Invitational

By Mary Sue Schalk | Nov 29, 2018

Paducah, Ky. — Named champion at the conclusion of the 2018 running of the Quail Championship Invitational was Erin’s Wild Justice, seven-year-old white and liver pointer male owned by Allen R. Linder of Livingston, Tenn., and handled by Luke Eisenhart. Runner-up was True Confidence, eight-year-old white and orange pointer male owned by Frank and Jean LaNasa of Isanti, Minn., also handled by Eisenhart.

Also called back for the championship finals were Westfall’s Black Thunder, pointer male owned by Bill Westfall of Liberty, Mo., handled by Andy Daugherty and braced with True Confidence, and Touch’s Blackout, pointer male owned by Richard Peterson of Gilbert, Ariz., and handled by Randy Anderson, braced with the winner.

Luke Eisenhart has placed his mark on this stake. He has handled the winner of the Quail Championship Invitational the past three years — Dunn’s Tried’n True (2016 and 2017) and now Erin’s Wild Justice (2018), which claimed the runner-up title in 2016.

Judges for this renewal were Eddie Berendzen of  Higbee, Mo., Jay Lewis of  Ashland, Mo., and Mark Livingston of Central City, Ia.
