Morrice, Mich. — Some sidelights from the Field Trial Hall of Fame Weekend Supporters of Dean Lord’s Hall of Fame election in 2018 organized a dinner to honor his induction on Friday evening, February 8, in Collierville, Tenn.

Buddy and Clarice Smith, who reside in Collierville, arranged the location at a fine facility, the local Perkins Restaurant.

E. L. “Bud” Walters rounded up the attendees, and the reservation for 14 guests was made, but a total of 29 were seated and dined.

A “sign in” sheet was circulated for those who attended that grand gathering. Present were Harold Ray, Aimee Atkins, John and Christy Hott, Dick Wilbur, Maxine Robbins, Dean Lord, Sophie Lord, Eddie Lord, Mike Lord, Cora Lord, John Lord, Doug and Judy Reisner, Lanie Grace Clark and her dad Casey Clark, Kim Clark, Dr. George and Ann Ihrke, Bud Walters, DeVoe and Thea Treadwell, Art Crowell, Jan and Martha Shaw, Jennifer Wyatt, Buddy and Clarice Smith and Dave Fletcher.

There were no speeches but much conversation accompanied a delicious dinner.

At the Field Trial Hall of Fame ceremonies on Saturday, February 9,   Louise (Wold) Klarr was able to attend. Louise was a co-owner of pointer Arrival with her father George. Louise had to leave the festivities early to catch a return flight to Michigan and was not available when photos were taken after the presentations. She did express appreciation for the honor accorded Arrival when presented his scroll.
