Stockton, N.J. — On March 26 we are hosting the Region 2 Amateur All-Age Championship at the Greenwood Area, Lacey Township, N.J., and are doing so in honor and memory of Dr. Hunter Wilcox.

This trial particularly held a special meaning to Hunter. He ran it for many years. As part of the trial we are dedicating a beautiful trophy featuring a sculpture by Shelia Uva and Hunter's wife Louise is hosting an outside social to dedicate the perpetual trophy.

As always, Purina has shown their generosity by providing support. In addition, Rick Stallings, president of the AFTCA, is also most supportive of this effort.

Many will recall Hunter's many contributions to the field trial sport over a lengthy period of time, serving as an AFTCA trustee, chairman of the AFTCA 20th Century Fund, club official, owner, breeder and handler. His contributions were deservedly recognized in 2009 by his election to the Field Trial Hall of Fame.
