West End, N. C. — This year the West End Setter and Pointer Club hosted the Region 3 AFTCA Walking Championship in West End, N. C.

Bo of Piney Woods, running at the end of the first day, was named the winner. This was Bo’s third championship title. Rich Warters owns the coming five-year-old white and liver  pointer male. He was in the gallery to watch his young pointer’s performance. Pedrag Kazic handled Bo for Rich. Bo was powerful on the ground, going far and wide. Judge Alec Sparks commented several times on Bo’s ground speed. He found birds throughout his hour run.

Named runner-up was nine-year-old setter male Islander, also handled by Pedrag Kazic. This was Islander’s 16th win in championship competition. He ran the second day. Several finds and some great casts earned him the placement.
