Trail City, S. D. — Keeping the tradition alive, the Southwestern Championship ran Labor Day weekend on the Johnson Ranch in Trail City, S. D.

The Southwestern Derby ran Friday, August 30. After sweeping the U. S. Owners, David and Angie Williams of Beach Bluff, Tenn., (Rebel Cause) and Tracy Haines of Denver, Colo., (Just Say When) were all present in the gallery.  With owner Ben Simmons of Thomasville, Ga., riding in the gallery, Judd Carlton took third with Dogwood Jake.

The Southwestern Championship ran Saturday, August 31, and Sunday, September 1.
