Texas Open Shooting Dog Championship

Ardmore, Okla. — Thirty-two dogs were drawn for the Texas Open Shooting Dog Championship,  and fourteen for the Ed Beverley Memorial Open Derby for the running at the Lake Murray venue, Ardmore, Oka.

Oklahomans Dr. Robert Rankin and Dr. Alex Jacocks who presided for the event named Tug A' War, the winner. The four-year-old white and liver pointer male is owned by Glenda Haag and Adam Hart of Coffeyville, Kan., and was handled by Shawn Kinkelaar. Runner-up was perennial winner Chelsea's Thunderbolt, white and liver pointer male owned by Dr. Tom. Jackson and George Hickox.  Bolt was also handled by Kinkelaar and scouted by Justin Crook.
