American Field

To Our Readers

Nov 21, 2019

The print edition of November 23 issue went to press right on time, pages sent to the printer, confirmed they were received and in proper sequence.

Or so it was thought.

After the issue went to press and was in the mail, it was noticed that three pages (pages 22, 23, 24) were out of sequence.

The process for proper sequencing entails several steps, the final being an operator who manually places the electronic pages into the imposition, then sent to the platemaker, then to press.

Two good trials were affected by the operator error: The Southern Illinois Bird Hunters trial and the Northern California Bird Dog Club. Kay Morrison and Jared Tappero submitted the respective reports, and to them a sincere apology is extended. Their entire reports are carried, but the sequence is not in order, pagewise.

The digital edition on the American Field web site is properly numbered.
