American Field

American Field — Absolute, Southern Pride, Billy Boy. Three memorable bird dogs that gave me hours of pleasure watching them in competition: Absolute at Paducah (and elsewhere), Southern Pride at Dixie and Chinquapin and Paducah, Billy Boy at Sedgefields (east), Sehoy and Hayneville. They were always exciting, win or lose, and that's the distinguisher. Billy Boy ran every course as if he'd designed it, showing always at the very best place. Absolute and Pride swept the front, always all age. All three deserve the Hall of Fame in my humble judgment.
