Weatherly, Pa. — The West Branch Bird Dog Club ran its annual spring trial the last weekend in April at the Freeland Kennel Club grounds.

Our trial continues to grow. Each year we see new faces and many young families. Since we started to emphasize bringing new people into the sport, it has snowballed into a family-friendly weekend full of laughs, great food, and good competition.

With the help of dedicated club members Andy Bogar and Dean Avillion, the trial ran very smoothly. Jeff Kuntz again did a marvelous job planting birds.

Lastly, and most importantly, Jenn Bogar and Amber Spotts prepared wonderful meals all weekend and kept things running in the clubhouse. The lasagna dinner Saturday night was a big hit!

We are most thankful to our sponsor Purina for their support. Through their sponsorship of the U. S. Complete Shooting Dog Association they provided dog food coupons for all placed winners.

Finally, we are appreciative of the judges who gave of their time to look at our dogs!
