Raymond, Neb. — We would like to thank all who came and supported our March 4-5 spring field trial. We deeply appreciate all the support we can get.

Even though we had a rather small entry of fifty dogs, we had quality winning performances in each of the stakes.

The weather was picture-perfect. March weather in Nebraska can bring cold temperatures with snow and sleet, not the greatest field trial weather. For us, we enjoyed mid-70s both days with clear skies and wind at about 10 mph.

An ample amount of birds were released throughout the event, scenting conditions were great, and the dogs did not have any trouble finding birds. For this trial we used multiple courses on the west portion of Branched Oak’s 980 acres of the field trial grounds.

We would like to also thank our sponsor, Purina, for their continued support of our local club. Purina has been outstanding in their ever-present support of providing dog food and samples.

I would also like to thank the many people behind the scenes prior to and during the trial for their generous help with judging, planting birds, dog wagon, awards, picking up birds and doing whatever else needed to be done.

Our personal thanks to our judges; Ned Myers, Dale Renick, Darrin White, Bruce Bryant for their tireless effort and many hours in the saddle. Thanks to everyone involved, the trial ran smoothly with plenty of time for socialization and camaraderie, making it a very enjoyable weekend. We hope to welcome you back in the fall.
